Sharpen your pencils, SketchCrawlers, and get ready to enjoy a scenic and inspiring day of drawing at Mobile Museum of Art. Mobile will take its place among more than 80 cities participating in a Worldwide SketchCrawl on Saturday, Feb. 27. We'll gather at MMA around 10am, draw in and around the museum and surrounding park until 3pm, then reconvene in the Museum's education wing for refreshments. During this post-sketching social hour, volunteers will scan and upload sketches to the international SketchCrawl website for anyone who wishes to share the day's drawings with sketchers in other corners of the globe.Artists of all ages and skill levels are welcome. When you check in at the SketchCrawl desk (inside the education wing) you'll receive free admission to the museum for the day. Inside the exhibit galleries, you are free to sketch with pencil or pens -- but save your watercolors for outside subjects.
